Nga Whakamārama – Service Description

The Homelessness Prevention aims to support whānau living in private rentals in Lower Hutt who are at risk of becoming homeless.

• We are a FREE service
• We support whānau living in private rentals
• Offer support from our specialist team which includes:-

  • Healthy Living Kaiārahi
  • Sustaining Tenancies Kaiārahi
  • Budget Advice Kaiārahi with our partner Petone Budget Service Incorporated

• We support whānau living in Lower Hutt
• We cover the whole population including Māori, Pacific and other whānau
• We will support and advocate for whānau with their landlord
• We will connect whānau with health and social services

Our FREE service is available to anyone living in private rentals in Lower Hutt who are at risk of becoming homeless without early intervention.

The Service is open to referrals from health and social service providers.  You are also able to refer yourself or your whānau.
